Integral recieves ISO 14001 Environment Management accreditation

International standard demonstrates company's commitment towards reducing its impact on the environment

 Britain's largest and most successful independent providers of comprehensive property maintenance and energy management services has been recognised for its commitment to the environment.

Integral UK has received the coveted ISO 14001 accreditation for its dedication to reducing its carbon footprint by putting systems and procedures in place which demonstrate its compliance with environmental laws and regulations.

To gain the international standard, seen as the cornerstone of any commercial operation's environmental credentials, Integral UK was independently audited across its nationwide network of UK offices.

The company's Director of Health and Safety, Don Urquhart, who co-ordinated the team responsible for securing the accreditation, said: "Integral UK has always shown its commitment to the environment by implementing various schemes, such as recruiting engineers in all UK postcodes to cut driving times and encouraging employees to recycle as much waste as possible, all with the aim of reducing our overall carbon footprint.

 "The nine-month process to gain ISO 14001 accreditation was difficult and took many assessments, but was more than worth it to be able to demonstrate our environmental commitment."

He added: "Now we have received this prestigious recognition we are not about to rest on our laurels and we will be carrying out regular reviews of all our carbon and waste outputs to try to reduce our impact on the environment even further."

 Bryan Glastonbury, Integral UK's Managing Director, said: "Being awarded ISO 14001 accreditation has proved we are totally committed to reducing our carbon footprint and we will continue to look at new and innovative ways of achieving that aim."
