Carbon Steps - managing your carbon footprint

Carbon Steps are offering local government and their business communities a brand new concept to help with this burden which no other organization in UK is offering; it is called the Better Buildings Efficiency Scheme (BBES). The BBES is aimed at and solely for Local Authorities and the business community within that borough. Carbon Steps understands that a local authority has legal obligations not only to reduce their own buildings carbon emissions but also their boroughs carbon emissions. The only way to reach this objective is to communicate and involve the business community in energy saving initiatives.
The Better Buildings Efficiency Scheme enables local commercial property owners to apply for a FREE commercial energy performance certificate, which will be carried out by Carbon Steps. And local authority energy managers will be able to apply for a FREE display energy certificate for the public sector owned buildings. Terms and Conditions Apply. Whoever applies for a FREE EPC and DEC through this scheme will have to make a commitment to reduce the energy consumption from that building. It is common knowledge that the vast majority of Advisory Reports issued with a DEC and the Recommendation Reports issued with a commercial EPC are not acted upon or followed through.
Carbon Steps will deliver a comprehensive detailed Advisory Report (AR) with a DEC or Recommendation Report (RR) with an EPC, we will invest our time, skills and expertise in developing a strategy that coincides with the AR or RR. Through managing and acting upon the AR and RR together we will reduce c02 emissions making your building better in performance and in return this will help the UK deliver our 2020 and 2050 targets.
